It’s very interesting in this industry of doing makeup to find males who are so proud of it.
Some people take it as a myth to men.
But Guy is going to explain more about it and to answer all the curiosity the community has about men who are makeup artists.
Community or society sometimes takes men who do makeup as gays. But Guy has answered all these questions.
As we described above Guy is a Burundian young man who came to Rwanda to study.
But as a young man who has a vision, he turned what he knows into an opportunity to earn money.

I started makeup by just watching someone doing it. My sister-in-law likes to do makeup, most of her time I watched her, then I had the curiosity to do it. I was like, how can I do makeup and someone looks good?. That curiosity multiplies itself inside me. One day I asked her if I can not try to do makeup on her, then she accepted and that first time really amazed me! because I did it so well. She was so happy and she encouraged me. From that time I took a risk to start doing makeup. Actually, it was a risk because I learned it from nowhere." Guy said".
1K STUDIO: What are the challenges you face?
Most challenges come during the wedding because they are times girls or women need to change their clothes and you are supposed to be there doing makeup on someone. You know it really feels weird.
Another challenge is when someone calls you after reaching their place, you find people who don't respect your job. They come and just use your materials as if you bought them for free.
Another challenge is when your client disappoints you and keeps on lying that she will pay you."Guy replies"

They should not be afraid to do what they can because others will laugh at them. You should not care about what other people say. Do what you can, not because that can be done by a boy or a girl, Just do it because you're passionate about it." Guy says"
